The loss of midface volume is the hallmark of facial aging. Voluma is formulated to “lift” the cheek area without surgery…it can be molded and shaped into the desired contour after injection.
Juvederm Voluma is unlike anything else now available. Voluma is FDA approved, as the first injectable filler, to instantly add volume to the all 3 areas of the cheek. Available in Europe since 2005, Voluma is used in over 72 countries worldwide. Made of hyaluronic acid, with lidocaine added for comfort, it is similar to Restylane and Perlane…but Voluma offers special benefits.
Voluma truly is unlike any other filler. It can lift the face, sculpt the face and reverse aging. With Voluma, that lifting and sculpting makes you look at least five years younger and is longer lasting… up to 24 months.
Men treated on Thursday return to work Monday…& nobody knows you did anything!
Today’s men are “in on” cosmetic procedures nearly as much as women are. They get Botox (Brotox), filler facelifts such as Voluma, Nose Jobs, Eye procedures to remove under eye bags and to lift upper eyelids and much more. They choose to have cosmetic procedures for career advancement and job security, because they want to look as young as their wives, and because they believe it is the “healthy” thing to do. Men of all ages and stages are presenting in surgeons offices because the stigma is gone and because they want to.
Virtually anyone with volume loss in the midface and people with poorly defined cheekbones, could be a good candidate for Dr. Davison’s Voluma treatments. All candidates should be in good general health, be capable of realistic expectations and have a strong desire to address facial aging. Patients in the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s typically are not good candidates for surgery but benefit greatly from Voluma treatments. Even those in their 60’s, who are more likely to be good surgery candidates due to skin laxity and volume loss are benefitting greatly from Voluma volumizing treatments.
Voluma is injected under the skin using a very small needle. It contains a numbing agent called lidocaine to keep you comfortable during your treatment. It works instantly to add volume and to subtly lift” the area treated (cheek, chin, nasolabial folds). Patients return to normal activities right after treatment.
Juvederm Voluma is the first hyaluronic acid (HA) filler developed and FDA approved specifically for the cheek area. It is formulated with lidocaine for added comfort during treatment. While other fillers have been used to provide a “similar” facial lift, none offer the benefits Voluma offers. Voluma is unique in that the HA is cross-linked through a process called Vycross that helps provide the excellent lifting it achieves. This process also makes it last longer…up to two years in many cases. And, since it is an HA filler, it can be molded and shaped into the desired contour after injection.
What Should I Expect After a Voluma Injection treatment? Results are immediate and can last up to 2 years. The unique injection technique minimizes bruising so many patients return to normal activities after treatments. You may experience slight swelling and bruising but this resolves quickly.
