Your surgeon should invest the time to sit down and talk to you face-to-face during your consultation. Dr. Davison always listens carefully to each patient – every time.
Dr. Davison believes this time spent with you is critical to both you and to him. It is during the consultation that he comes to fully understand your concerns, evaluates them correctly, and then develops the surgery/treatment plan that is right for you. Dr. Davison invests the time – to sit down and talk to you face-to-face.
This is typically an out-patient surgery performed under general or local anesthesia anesthesia. Extreme cases may require an overnight stay. Dr. Davison will make a tiny incision (if liposuction is used) or a larger incision if excision (scalpel) removal is required. Either way, Dr. Davison employs advanced techniques that result in scars that are as inconspicuous as possible – located on the edge of the areola or in the armpit. Working through this incision fat is liposuctioned or excised, excess skin removed and the chest is sculpted to a masculine appearance. Some swelling, bruising and discomfort are normal and to be expected. Discomfort eases over 2-3 days and is easily managed with oral pain medication. Final results are enjoyed after all swelling resolves in about 3 months.
