BOTOX® COSMETIC PROCEDURE:
Done in our office, the treatment takes only a few minutes. Botox® is injected into pre-targeted areas – using a very fine needle. Our patients experience little to no discomfort and no recovery time is needed. A minimal amount of bruising and swelling is normal and it may or may not occur, but resolves quickly. Dr. Davisions’ patients enjoy their visible results within 3-5 days.

What does Botox do?
Botox is a neuromuscular inhibitor that, once injected, prevents the nerve signal to the “motion” muscles. This in turn prevents the formation of creases, lines and wrinkles.
Who is a good candidate for Botox® treatments?
Anyone who is unhappy with the signs of facial aging – lines, grooves, wrinkles and creases in the upper one-third of the face (forehead and eye area) and the lower third of the face – around the mouth (smoker’s lines) and the neck area (neck bands). You should be in otherwise good health.
Are Botox® injections for men and women?
Absolutely! Men today are as much concerned about their aging appearance - and career competitiveness - as women. Dr. Davison is an expert in performing injectable treatments for both – men and women.
How long does a Botox® treatment take?
This varies with each patient but typically a Botox® treatment requires only a few minutes of your time. Most patients have “lunch hour” treatments and are able to return to work if they so choose.
Are Botox® injections painful?
No - our patients experience only a temporary burning sensation.
Do Botox® injections require any downtime or lost work time?
Dr. Davison is highly skilled in performing the injections so his patients rarely experience downtime. In fact, for most patients returning to normal activities, right after a treatment, is the norm.
Does Insurance cover Botox® treatments?
No. Insurance does not cover elective/cosmetic procedures. However, today there is financing available for most treatments. Ask about this in our business office.
Who will administer the Botox injections?
Dr. Davison and his Physician’s Assistant and Nurse Practitioner have many years of experience, are specially trained and highly skilled in performing all dermal injection procedures. This is very important to avoid possible side-effects and poor outcomes. Injectable treatments require great skill and an artistic eye. |
