During a thigh lift, excess skin is lifted and removed through incisions made in the inner thigh and /or high upper out thigh. The incisions are hidden in the groin and Dr. Davison works through them to remove excess skin and lift and tighten the thigh area. Liposuction is used to assist with excess fat removal from the thighs and legs and for sculpting the area. Dr. Davison uses two incision techniques as follows:
MEDIAL (inner thigh) - Incision is made inside the thigh where the leg meets the groin.
LATERAL (outer thigh) – Incision is made from the groin around to the back of the body to lift the buttocks along with the thigh.
Deep sutures are secured to ligaments and bone to secure the skin and lift it to its new position. Dressings and a light compression bandage are worn for several days.
