BREAST LIFT (MASTOPEXY)
Today’s women, of all ages and all sizes, want to look good in and out of clothes!
Breast Lift Surgery “a lift for sagging breasts.”
For women who realize that both pregnancy, natural age-related changes, weight gain or loss and genetics have taken a toll on their breasts – causing sagging (ptosis), and that exercise and/or miracle creams do not work - Dr. Davison recommends a Breast Lift to rejuvenate your appearance. Ideally your nipples should rest half way between the tops of your shoulders and the crease near your elbows. Using the most advanced but reliable techniques, he is able to restore your breasts to a more youthful contour. Many women also choose to combine their lift with implants (augmentation) to achieve the optimum results. Breast Lift surgery is the only permanent way to restore a youthful contour to the breasts.

Any woman who is unhappy with breasts that are sagging (ptosis) and/or flattened and elongated in shape and may have nipple/areola complex that points downward and/or hangs visibly lower than the breast crease – could be an ideal candidate for Dr. Davison’s Breast Lift surgery. You should be in otherwise good health and able to have realistic expectations.
Your surgeon should invest the time to sit down and talk to you face-to-face during your consultation. Dr. Davison always listens carefully to each of his patients – every time.
The initial consultation with your surgeon is critical! It should always be face to face with your surgeon during which time he/she listens closely to your concerns. Dr. Davison believes this time spent with you is critical to both you and to him. It is during the consultation that he comes to fully understand your concerns, evaluates them correctly and is then able to make the recommendations and develop the surgery/treatment plan that is right for you. Dr. Davison invests the time – to sit down and talk to you face-to-face.
This involves reducing excess skin, tightening muscles and lifting the breast to a more youthful position and shape, or increasing breast volume with implants then lifting and securing the breast to it’s more youthful position or a combination of both. Your procedure will be tailored to your specific needs and body proportion. Dr. Davison will use incisions to help sculpt your breasts new position and to raise the nipple/areola complex. Incision patterns may include one of more of the following:
- Around the areola
- Vertically down from the areola to the breast crease
- Horizontally at the breast crease
This will be based upon your breast size and shape and the size and position of your nipple/areola complex. The degree of breast ptosis (sagging); the elasticity of your skin, and the amount of excess skin are all critical factors in determining which technique is right for you. Dr. Davison may use local anesthetic with sedation or general anesthesia for your surgery.
After surgery you can expect some swelling, bruising, soreness and mild discomfort – which are normal but all resolves quickly over a few days. Oral pain medication can be used to manage any discomfort you may experience. Your new shape and position will be visible immediately – but it takes a few months for the new look to settle in completely.
