Cheek Augmentation can restore your natural beauty & take years off the mid-face.
Well proportioned cheekbones are a sign of beauty which diminishes with age. Cheek Augmentation safely and simply restores those high cheekbones – which are very expressive and help to define the rest of your face. High, well-proportioned cheeks highlight your eyes, accentuate your smile and create facial balance. Underdeveloped cheeks can make your nose and jaw appear more prominent and your eyes to look hollow and sunken – distorting natural, attractive facial balance. Dr. Davison performs Cheek Augmentation, with implants, to restore the natural beauty you once experienced – or just to give you the beautiful cheeks you never had.
Any healthy person who has lost facial balance due to cheeks that are now flat and hollow – may be an ideal candidate for Cheek Augmentation surgery. You should be mature in your thinking and have realistic expectations.
This procedure takes about one hour unless you’re combining it with other facial rejuvenation procedures. Dr. Davison will make incisions inside the mouth and work through these to create pockets into which the implants are inserted (if you’re having a facelift or eyelid surgery in concert with Cheek Augmentation – the incisions may be made along the lower eyelid). The implant is easily inserted into the pocket in front of the jawbone. Sterile tape strips will be applied on the outside of the cheeks to hold the implants in place. Some discomfort, swelling and bruising is normal and to be expected but is easily managed with oral pain medication, elevation and cold packs.
Facial implants are made from a variety of materials in shapes and sizes that allow for custom tailoring to each individuals needs. Implants are safe, effective and have been in use for decades – worldwide. Facial implants involve minimally invasive surgery – with excellent long-lasting results for men and women of all ages.
